Make It Work is pleased to dedicate today, October 15, 2010 to Blog Action Day. Today we are celebrating the power of blogging and exploring the worlds most precious resource, water. So please enjoy today’s posts, and don’t forget to visit http://blogactionday.change.org to read other posts on this year’s theme: Water.
Too much of the world lacks clean water. So Engineer Michael Pritchard did something about it. He invented the portable Lifesaver filter, which can take the worst, most filthy water and make it drinkable in seconds. This amazing demo from TEDGlobal 2009 shows the difference between a world drinking clean water and a world dieing from dirty water.
TED is awesome. But what’s even better than TED is seeing people’s ideas or inventions put into practice. There are so many reasons to be a part of TED. Some of the greatest thinkers in the world have shared their knowledge via TED. This platform has ushered in an entirely new way of highlighting a cause or spreading ideas the world needs.
