1) Pandora – streaming Internet radio, lets you pick an artist or song and matches that with similar musical interests.
2) Shazam – “tag” a song you’re hearing on the radio, it automatically identifies the artist and name of the song and lets you download it later.
3) Around Me – GPS-enabled location search, lets you browse by name or category (i.e. closest coffee shop)
4) Loopt – update your Twitter account and Facebook status from one app using GPS-enabled tagging. Check in with your friends or browse ‘Discover’ mode to see local places and events.
5) Facebook – who doesn’t want to update their status on the go?
6) UrbanSpoon – restaurant locator and decision maker, lets you sort by location, price, and type of cuisine. Very cool interface, shake the phone and it comes up with a random recommendation and allows you to view feedback customers have left.
7) Flixster – movie information including upcoming theatre and DVD releases, cast/crew info, showtimes, reviews, and movie trailers.
8) RDP Lite – connect to your computer remotely using Remote Desktop Protocol. Works well when used on a wifi connection.
9) Bump – exchange contact information with other iPhone users by ‘bumping’ phones together.
10) Wikipanion – the Wikipedia companion app
