Since the tsunami last week in Japan, many companies and individuals are reaching out and doing what they can to help. From donating money to services to time, numerous options exist for those ready and willing to contribute.
Japan is currently welcoming donations of all kinds. Here are some examples of non-traditional assistance.
-Phone Companies: Verizon, Sprint and AT&T are all offering free calls and texts to Japan from the United States.
-Dog Bless You Facebook Page: By clicking “like” on this Facebook page, Dog Bless You will donate up to $100,000 to Japan. This donation will go towards search and rescue dogs, and costs users nothing more than simple social action!
-Website Embed Code: If you run a website, using an embed code from Hello Bar that says “helpjapan” to offer your visitors a simple click-to-donate option.
-Spread the Word Through Twitter: If you’re a Twitter user, you’ve probably already noticed the trending topics having to do with Japan. By clicking on any of them, you will see to-the-second updates as people post about Japan. (learn more about hashtags here)
