On their ever evolving quest to provide the best services possible for their customers, Google has made yet another simply awesome upgrade to their email service: Gmail. Google’s new feature, the Priority Inbox, is an awesome addition to Gmail.

Unlike a spam filter (Which they already provide, built in) your Priority Inbox learns which emails you want to read first by seeing which ones you actually open and which ones you respond to. And better still, if it isn’t learning the way you want, you can define which emails are more important than others.

To begin using Priority Inbox, either click on the red “New! Priority Inbox” link, or choose Settings -> Priority Inbox and then at the bottom select “Show Priority Inbox”

In addition to learning from your actions, you also can manually choose which emails are more important to you than others. On your toolbar at the top of your email, after activating Priority Inbox, you will find two new buttons, a + and a – . You can use these to either make it more (+) or less (-) important.  The buttons can be found on the bar that looks like this:
