Twitter is all the rage right now! Even your grandma is using Twitter to tell you about the latest sale at Kohls! But how to you keep track of the 50,000 people you’re following? Certainly not by trying to sift through the Twtter feed on the home page! There are numerous applications that will consolidate your tweets into one location and I’m going to focus on Tweetdeck here.

Tweetdeck is my application of choice for Twitter. I use it on my Mac, my PC and my iPhone and BlackBerry. The great thing about Tweetdeck is its columns! Create a search column for “#makeitwork” and you can instantly see what people are saying about Make IT Work! As you may know, hashtag searches are the way Twitter users differentiate themselves. Everyone from talk radio show hosts to rock bands add a hashtag into their tweets so they can be easily followed. By adding search columns sorting those hashtags, you can follow along with the conversation.
