If you’ve never heard of TED then you can’t begin to understand what TedxAmericanRiviera is. TED is an annual conference held in Long Beach that is invitation only. The event is 4 days long and has 50 live presenters, ranging from the Dalai Lama to Bill Gates. There are usually about 1,400 in attendance and the price is steep at $6k/head.
We’re excited to announce the second annual TEDxAmericanRiviera event will take place in Santa Barbara at the world famous Music Academy of the West on 11/11/11. Our own Make It Work Co-founder and CEO Eric Greenspan will be one of the hosts.

TEDxAmericanRiviera 2nd Annual Conference Announced
In the spirit and tradition of TED, TEDxAmericanRiviera, a full-day celebration of creating opportunities, creating happiness and creating beauty, will take place at the Music Academy of the West on 11/11/11.
Santa Barbara, CA – Today TEDxAmericanRiviera, an independently organized TED event produced and hosted by 74 Degrees, LLC, a joint venture between TEDsters Kymberlee Weil, Eric Greenspan and Mark Sylvester, announces The Spark Within, its second annual event on 11/11/11 at the world famous Music Academy of the West.
“The theme for the event is, The Spark Within,”, said Eric Greenspan, TEDxAmericanRiviera co-host and CEO of Make It Work, Inc, “We will explore creativity in three unique sessions entitled “Creating Opportunities”, “Creating Happiness”, and “Creating Beauty”. From health to business to the arts, our speakers will focus on what inspires them at the amazing venue for this year’s event.”
Six speakers for the event have been announced including TED Senior Fellow and Los Angeles Philharmonic Violinist Robert Gupta, celebrated raw food chef and author Matthew Kenney, and award-winning graphic designer, illustrator and creator of The Daily Monster Stefan Bucher, noted photographer and instructor Chris Orwig, author and humorist Jenna McCarthy and CEO and musician Eugene Lee.
